Vietnam is about to have 116 warehouses to promote import and export

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has just issued Decision 229 / QD-BCT approving the project "Planning for the development of a warehouse system at the border gates of Vietnam - Laos and the Vietnam - Cambodia border until 2025. vision to 2035 ".

Under this project, the warehouse system in the border area of ​​Vietnam - Laos and Vietnam - Cambodia is the planning to open and develop stores according to the administrative boundaries of the border gate area; Warehouse construction sites are selected by investors on the basis of meeting the warehouse construction criteria.

Accordingly, the planned plan to 2025 and a vision to 2035, the warehouse system in these border areas is both being exploited and about to be put into operation, 53, newly built 63 warehouses.

In which, in the 2016-2025 period, to upgrade and expand 7 warehouses, newly built and put into operation 53 warehouses (16 warehouses are in phase 1 of the investment phase); By 2035, to upgrade and expand 2 warehouses, building and putting into operation the period of 26 warehouses.

That means the total number of warehouses and yards by 2035 on the whole route will be about 116 warehouses.

By 2035, border gates on the entire Vietnam - Laos border line and the Vietnam - Cambodia border will have a complete and synchronous warehouse system, meeting 100% of the warehouse needs of import and export goods. ; providing a package in the direction of synchronous integration of logistics services associated with warehouses; promote fast and sustainable development of import and export activities./.
