This affects the efficiency of logistics services as well as promotes logistics development.

The current number of logistics enterprises in Vietnam is about 1,300, accounting for 25% of the market share, the charter capital is mostly about 4-6 billion VND and accounts for about 72% of the labor force, however, well-trained, only make up 5- 7%; the number of FDI enterprises is about 4-5% but accounts for 75% of the market share. According to the Vietnam Association of Logistics Services, logistics costs are equivalent to about 10-13% of GDP in developed countries, about 15-20% of GDP in developing countries. This cost reduction helps to increase the country's commodity competitiveness. In the development of import-export (import-export) in recent years, logistics has become an important service industry.

However, over the past time, there has not been an adequate attachment between logistics enterprises and import-export enterprises, making import-export enterprises suffer high costs, prolonged time, and reduced competitiveness of Vietnamese goods; There is a problem with weak infrastructure connecting port areas with cargo concentration areas; lack of specialized freight and service forwarding centers. From there set out the requirement of developing a synchronous and reasonable national infrastructure system; infrastructure investment socialization.
